Pooja and Jaskarn had their traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in Ramada Park Hotel, Birmingham. Both, bride and groom, got ready at the same hotel, giving me an opportunity to capture their preparation times simultaneously.
On her wedding day Pooja wore her mother's-in-law paayal mother-in-law which she also wore on her wedding day in India more than four decades ago. It became a “beautiful wedding memory for both, her and me” admits the bride. “She gave them to me before the wedding saying that it was the only physical moment left of her wedding and I instantly knew I wanted to wear it.”⠀
After the traditional Hindu ceremony, the couple and I headed outside for a couple shoot. Pooja admits that "no wedding album is complete without the posed portraits. I noted that this is something that couples forget. Not one to miss out on the couple photoshoot on the wedding day I planned to allocate for this between the ceremony and reception. We had an amazing venue at Ramada Park Hotel with its stunning ground and period architecture”.
